I'm a mom to a toddler (and two pups) and I work full time. A little while ago, I went looking for my people.
I wanted other moms who got it. The moms who would give anything to spend every second with their kid, and who also work. Maybe because they want to. Maybe because they need to. I needed to connect with moms who feel the weight of a second income, the guilt of drop off, and the quiet pride of doing both. Who are figuring it out one week at a time (or one meeting and one tantrum at a time), just like me.
Every group I found assumed I was home during the week. Every event was at 10am on a random Wednesday. Every community seemed built for a version of motherhood that did not look like mine.
So I built what I could not find.
Working Mama Co is a mom club to build community for moms who are back at work, whose kids are growing fast, and who are done putting their need for connection last.
This is a space built around real life. We meet on weekends. We meet after 5pm. We get together for a glass of wine after bedtime. We check in during the week. We share what is actually going on. And most importantly, we build real friendships with others who understand this season without explanation.
Inside, you can expect connection, honest conversations, and a sense of belonging that does not disappear after the baby phase. No pressure to be perfect. No expectation to do more. Just a space where you can show up as you are and feel supported in it.
If that sounds like your people, I would love to have you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a mom club or mom group for working moms in San Jose or the South Bay? Yes — Working Mama Co. is a mom club specifically for working moms in the South Bay, including San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Campbell, Los Gatos, and surrounding areas. All events are after 5pm, on weekends, or online.
What makes Working Mama Co. different from other mom groups? Every event is scheduled around a working schedule. No weekday morning meetups. We handle all the event planning and logistics, so members just show up. And because it's a paid membership, the community is intentional — people who join are committed. We don’t rely on exhausted volunteers planning events either! We are here for the long haul.
How much does membership cost? Founding Member rate is $20/month, locked in permanently for anyone who joins before July 31st, 2026. (You can pause if you are traveling too!) After that, membership is $30/month.
What does membership include? 3+ events a month (usually more): Bi-weekly in-person South Bay events, Family First Fridays, Mama's Night Out, virtual meetups, a WhatsApp community, and access to all WMC programming and expert sessions throughout the year.
Where do you host events? All over the South Bay — San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Los Gatos, Campbell, Saratoga, Cupertino and surrounding areas. We also run virtual events so members can connect from home.
How do I join Working Mama Co.? Visit workingmamaco.com to become a Founding Member. Founding Member pricing ($20/month) is available through July 31st, 2026.

Karla is a PR Director in Silicon Valley, originally from Mexico City, and mom to Luca, plus two dog children. She is also the founder of Working Mama Co, a South Bay community for working moms who want real connection on their schedule.
She built Working Mama Co after realizing how hard it is to find events and friendships that actually fit into working mom life. What started as a personal need turned into a space for honest conversations, shared chaos, and real connection.
